SPUR AWARD FINALIST!!

Hard to believe, but on March 4, 2023, it was announced at the Tucson Book Festival that my book had been chosen from over 45 books submitted in the historical fiction category, in the top three, as a Spur Award Finalist! My feet didn't touch the ground for weeks! Patty and I will be going to the Western Writers of America Convention in Rapid City, South Dakota, towards the end of June, very exciting. So now I get to put stickers on the front of my book saying Spur Award Finalist! It should be great fun to be there with the winners of this year's creators of the best western songs, poems, short stories, movie scripts, children's books, non-fiction, etc. We are very much looking forward to that! Thanks to all of you who helped with my book and who have encouraged me since it was published last year!
