Western Writers of America

I was pleased this summer to be accepted into the Western Writers of America organization. They give out "Spur Awards" for western poems, songs, movies, and several categories of books that have come out in the past year. I've submitted mine for the historical fiction categirt and also for the "debut books" category, for writers who have published their very first book. Awards will be announced in March and then given out at their annual conference, in South Dakota next June.
